In Fdeb 2011, Craigavon Industrial Development Organisation (CIDO) joined forces with Craigavon Intercultural Programme in hosting a business programme for a group of Portuguese nationals.

Twenty Portuguese trainees registered for the ‘Go For It’ programme, which provided hands on support, training and guidance on their business ventures which span a range of industries.

The programme began with an advisory service, where participants received advice from an expert business advisor on a one-to one basis. This was followed by a number of training modules which helped them to understand the practicalities of running a new business, such as sales, marketing, financial management, legal and statutory issues as well as general business practises. On completion of the training each trainee completed a realistic and achievable business plan, working alongside an expert business advisor.

Funded by Invest Northern Ireland, the ‘Go for It’ programme is available free of charge.

Anyone interested in the programme should contact CIDO  02838396520
