Description:

  Craigavon Intercultural Programme (CIP) has been  awarded funding from the PSNI Police Property Fund for the production of an information card for the migrant community detailing useful contact numbers.

Title: Craigavon & Banbridge Inter-Agency Migrant Worker Support Group
Description:

The Interagency Forum brings together a variety or statatory & Voluntary Community services to assess
the needs of Migrant workers, share expertise and design programmes which promote their intergration.
The group meet 4 times a year has representation from the Southern Health & Social Servcies Trust, Southern education & Libary Board, Victim Support, NI Housing Executive, PSNI, Craigavon Council, Community Network Craigavon, Jobs & Benefits, CIP,STEP.

Title: Civic Leadership Training Residential
Description:

Between 4-5 Sept 09 representatives from ethnic communities in Craigavon, Brazil, Quinea Bissau, Portugal, Poland, Lithuania, East Timor & the Filipines took part in a training weekend to access current levels of integration within the region.  A report of the findings will be released in due course. The training was provided by Tides Training.  

Title: Child Minding Training
Description: Members of the Polish community at a 4 week introduction to Child Minding presented by NICMA at the CIP Community Office 

Title: Filipino Annual Meeting
Description: On 29 March the Filipino community in Craigavon elected new officers at the group's annual meeting at Goal Line Youth Club 

Title: Lithuanian Information Session
Description: Rimguagas with representives from the Lithuanian Embassy in London recently assisted members of the local Lithuanian community at the CIP Communty Office 

Title: The Mayors Award for Service to the Community for CIP Chairman
Description: At a ceremony in Craigavon Civic Centre, 20th Nov, Stephen Smith was awarded for his  service to the new communities in Craigavon . Also in Photo, Siobhan McGarry, UTV, Ald. Sidney Anderson, Mayor of Craigavon, Celicia Whiteside, Hon Portuguese Consul,  Mr Bill. Sinnerton, Hon Lithianian Consul. 

Title: Stress Management Training
Description: 25 womem from a variety of backgrounds took part in a training session at Seagoe Hotel in Feb 09

Title: Personal Development Training for women
Description: Women from a variety of cultures attended a personal development training session at Seagoe Hotel organised by CIP. The sessions were funded by Craigavon Council and the training was offered by TIDES Training.

Title: Citizens Advice at Womens World
Description:

Noreen Creaney presents an overview of services provided by CAB to the multicultural Women''s World group in Portadown. 30 women from 6 nationalities attended.
