For the purposes of this listing ethnic community groups are divided into those in the Craigavon area and those that operate in other areas of N.Ireland
ACSONI
Afro- Community Support Organisation Northern Ireland (ACSONI) was borne out of a series of consultations and focus groups carried out with individuals from the Afro-Caribbean, African and other Afro-descendant communities. It was formed in July 2003 as an independent community based organisation.

African and Caribbean Association of Foyle
The African & Caribbean Association of Foyle (ACAF) was founded in October 2006. The membership of this community organization comprises different cultures and races. ACAF promotes the welfare of the migrant community of Africans & Caribbean people living in this region of County Derry/ Londonderry of Northern Ireland. The idea of founding the African & Caribbean Association of Foyle (ACAF) dates back to 2002.

Al Nisa – Muslim Women Group
The Al - nisa group was set up in November 1998 by a group of Muslim women in Northern Ireland. Aims to improve education and understanding of Islam among Muslim women and young people, guidance for Muslim women & referral of Muslim women to mainstream support services Monitoring the implementation of key government strategies and representing the issues of Muslim women through the provision of training and information sessions, tackle stereotypical images of the Muslim community and promote good relations between communities. Networking with the voluntary & statutory sector at the local, national and international level to improve services and quality of life for Muslim women.

Czech and Slovak Association of NI
We are new minority association of Northern Ireland, who representative Czech and Slovak people live in NI, we established in November 2009, we prepared few culture and sport activity and actually preparing event for 1st May as day when Czech and Slovak republic joined to EU roman.vilkovic15@gmail.com

Filipino Community
The essential task of this association is to centralize the voice of the Filipino people living in Northern Ireland. The main objective of the Filipino Communities in NI is to connect, coordinate and cluster the different Filipino associations/groups in all areas. Now, the association caters to different aspects- socialization, sports, other associations and clubs. Moreover it deals with immigration problems and work problems. It is also an strategic approach to connect embassies to embassies.

Islamic Centre
The Belfast Islamic Centre was established in 1978 by a group of Muslims from the local community. Today, the centre not only acts as a place of worship, but also is a community centre, social-cultural centre, resource centre, advice centre and a day centre. It has been approximated by the Belfast Islamic Centre that there are around 4-5 thousand Muslims living in Northern Ireland today. The Muslims in Northern Ireland come from over 40 countries of origin, from Western Europe all the way through to the Far East.

Japan Society
The Japan Society of Northern Ireland is an entirely voluntary organization established on 17th September 1996 to promote a greater understanding within N. Ireland of Japan and its people, culture and language and to generally foster greater communication between both countries.

Latino American Association

NI-TECA (Turkish Community)
NI-TECA - Northern Ireland Tolerance, Educational & Cultural Accusation was established in 2004 as a charitable trust. Its founders and first trustees were Turkish-speaking businessmen and academics resident in N. Ireland. The objectives of NI-TECA are to promote, teach, study, advance education and encourage interest in and knowledge of the culture, history, peoples, language and traditions generally of Turkish speaking countries and particularly Turkey. We also aim to ease integration of our minority groups and help with problems they may face.

The North West Centre for Learning & Development is a community based organisation which provides a wide range of services such as: training, work placements, re-skilling, advice on training, career guidance, information, delivery and support services – all of which are vital for a cohesive and healthy society. The Centre’s work has been established around supporting those who are classified as being disadvantaged and marginalised within our society.
